THE School Safe Programme concluded yesterday with the presentation of certificates to youths.
The programme – introduced to members of the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) as part of a collaborative project between the BDRCS and the Ministry of Education (MoE) – is an important component of the Asean School Safe Initiative.
It is hoped that the project will be introduced across schools in the country and will see the involvement of more young facilitators.
The programme by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) includes the Toolkit for the School Safe Programme.
The workshop saw the participation of 20 youths being trained as facilitators. Meanwhile, the demonstration session saw 30 youths, two parents and two teachers involved in the training.
