MEMBERS of the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) marked its 65th anniversary with a religious activity at the Ash-Shaliheen Mosque in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Building Complex recently.
The event began with Maghrib mass prayer followed by a recitation of Surah Yaasin and thanksgiving prayer.
Members also performed Isyak mass prayer the dinner reception commenced.
Also present during the event was Secretary General of BDRCS Hj Julaini Hj Abd Latif.

According to a statement from BDRCS, a tahlil ceremony in remembrance of Al-Marhum Sultan Hj Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit is scheduled to take place this Friday at 9am at the Royal Mausoleum on Jalan Tutong.
BDRCS programmes and activities are held to equip the youth with trainings in first aid, Red Cross Red Crescent fundamental principles and organising volunteers in camps.
Brunei's Red Crescent Society was officially recognised by the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) on November 6, 1996.
May 8 is the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day.
