All four new members were appointed based on majority votes.

The first discussion was chaired by Hj Julaini where it discussed various agendas including transforming the association as a-still relevant entity, to be more resourceful in terms of delivering quality humanitarian services.

Members also agreed to prepare programmes for youths whereby the association was tasked with devising strategies to include youths with potential to hold executive positions in the establishment, pushing it further into development.

A special budget has been approved by the association for the Director of Youths, reflecting the group’s dedication to youth as future leaders. First aid courses and training in emergency response will be activated with fees in accordance with the best practices of Red Crescent Associations worldwide.

To facilitate these plans, Red Crescent will put pen to paper Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with the same associations from across Asia to improve its training programmes.

Additionally, the convention allowed for restructuring of the organisation’s positions nationwide while discussing possible future visits to Red Crescent / Red Cross Associations overseas as one of their main ventures in the not so distant future.

Hj Julaini encouraged youths to participate in works sponsored by the association but urged them to not limit themselves to medical-related activities, but also humanitarian works. ©BRUDIRECT.COM
