THE Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society yesterday collected donations from members of the public as part of its ‘Program Infaq Jariah’ in anticipation for the blessed month of Ramadhan.
The drive was held at the VVIP Parking, Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.

“We
are here today to collect and receive donations from members of the
public. Donations can come in any form such as used or new clothes, non
perishable food items and even donations in the form of money,” said
Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society Secretary (Brunei-Muara) Alma
Nurlizan Hj Sulaiman.
She added that the aim of the drive is part of the society’s humanitarian effort in the sultanate.

“After
collecting sufficient items, we will sort the items and distribute
them equally to those in need with the help of the district offices
and Community Development Department (JAPEM),” said Alma.
This distribution, part of the society’s ‘Program Kembara Project Ikhlas’ will be held in all four districts throughout Ramadhan.
